
About the Role
High school diploma or its equivalent is required.
Valid driver’s license.
No negative driving record.
Certain vehicles may necessitate the use of a special license.
Experience may or may not be required.
Availability to follow assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
Excellent time management and customer service abilities.
Ability to walk, drive, lift, and carry heavy objects for an extended period of time.
Paying attention to the details .
Requirements
Loading , transporting , and delivering items in a safe and timely manner to clients or businesses.
Orders are reviewed before and after delivery to ensure that they are complete, that the charges are correct, and that the customer is satisfied.
Assisting with the loading and unloading of vehicles.
Accepting payments for goods delivered.
Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and dealing with client complaints.
Following timetables and adhering to assigned routes .
Following all transportation laws and maintaining a clean driving record.
Creating reports and other delivery-related documents .
Operating vehicles and machines such as cars, trucks, forklifts, and so on.
Collecting and delivering parcels and packages from the central depot to specific addresses specified in the dispatch officer’s delivery instructions.
Route planning to maximize efficiency and deliver parcels on time.
Address verification is being carried out prior to delivery.
Preventing package damage or loss during transit .
Obtaining signed receipts and delivery confirmation .
Collecting payments as needed.
Communication with the dispatch officer, receipt of new delivery instructions, and status updates
Keeping accurate paper or electronic records of parcel deliveries .
