
About the Role
A bachelor's degree or college diploma in business administration or a related administrative services field is usually required
Additional certifications or licenses maybe a plus
Several years of experience at a professional level in business administration, finance or administrative services are usually required
Ability to analyze information and develop effective solutions
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and verbal and written communication skills
Strong planning, critical thinking, problem-solving, and task and time management skills
Proficiency in office technology and equipment, such as computers, copiers, scanners, fax machines, and phone systems
Requirements
Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of a department providing a single administrative service or several administrative services
Developing, analyzing, reviewing, and implementing administrative department systems and controls
Supervise clerical and administrative staff
Direct and advise staff engaged in providing records management, security, finance, purchasing, human resources or other administrative services
Training, hiring, coaching, and leading support staff members
Recommend changes to policies or procedures in order to improve operations, such as reassessing supplies or record keeping
Direct and control corporate governance and regulatory compliance procedures within establishment
Establishing and enforcing department regulations, guidelines, budgets, and timelines
Oversee the maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, and electrical and mechanical systems
Interview, hire and oversee training for staff
Handling or monitoring staff as they perform basic office tasks, such as answering phones, greeting and directing visitors, making arrangements for meetings or travel, and distributing mail
